As a Lead Builder with Kona Contractors, your position would require leadership skills – managing a team and directing both skilled and semi-skilled laborers through the project is key to its success. The job sites also require management and maintenance of tasks to ensure things go according to schedule. The scope of our work we perform changes daily, with all phases of remodel construction – most commonly decks, patios, roof covers, pergolas, outdoor living spaces, etc. Because this position is involved in a wide range of project types, at least 6 years of experience in the construction/remodel industry is required.
As an experienced professional in the construction and remodel industry, we expect every team member to follow our standards of quality and take the initiative to complete tasks on schedule and be self-motivated to get projects completed. Experience (not mastery) is required in deck construction, hardscapes, framing, drywall, tile work, and interior trim. In the winter months, we require snow removal work (plow truck operator) as well. This position is physical in nature, and requires an individual who is presentable, clean-cut, healthy, and physically able.
We take pride in our work and want our Lead Builder to have the same mentality. Our team relies on each other, and loyalty to the company is a major component of trust. Honesty and communication are keys to developing strong working relationships, and this position requires good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness when interacting with both team members and customers. With our clients, we deliver a service-oriented focus by committing to provide them with timely, responsive service and plan our work to meet the established schedules.
